Have you ever looked through Facebook and know that the image portrayed is simply not real? We all have problems that stem little or large. And shining a light on them is never enjoyable, nor does anyone really wish to read about them. However, there is a verse in Proverbs 23 which discusses ‘correction.’ Earlier this month, I visited the court house as I knew my error while driving. It wasn’t anything terrible, However, the law is put in place for a reason. And with this comes instruction and correction. For the individual who knows God’s hand will correct, please know you are very wise. Many times correction can appear privately through our Lord and Savior’s hand. Most often we read about correction on social media publicly. Is there anything wrong with public correction? In terms of admitting our faults, the answer is ‘no.’ My prayer is for the individual who believes he/she is above correction. Trust me, just like no one leader is above reproach, no one individual is above correction. Why is it that so many do not wish to acknowledge this? Who can be called forth knowing they are sinners in need of a Savior? For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of Him. May we all join together and pray for those who walk in rebellion and place themselves above any correction.
Proverbs 23:12 “Apply your mind to instruction and correction and your ears to words of knowledge.” (Amplified Bible)
