January 3, 2016 : A Heart Filled

January 3, 2016
I am writing from my kitchen table after making a simple panini chicken sandwich for my children. You see, their appetites are so simple, yet specific. Those who are parents understand a child’s particular request. And with this food comes (some) nourishment for their health. We all need spiritual food each and every day. And Scripture points out that man will not be satisfied by bread alone, but the very food from His Word. And nothing we ever eat or fill our lives with will ever fill the void which is set on every individual’s heart. A void which can only be filled from Him. For our Lord and Savior has put eternity on every heart, and those who know Him, understand the meaning of praying for those who long to fill such a void. For success and accolades may stir a soul to continue on, however, there comes a point in time where a question must be asked. Whom am I serving? The Prince of Darkness or the Prince of Peace? For every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of All. And it is He who can turn any situation around. For He has made everything beautiful in its due time. And we know that His Grace and Mercy is enough. May the individual reading this who is searching to fill a void, pause for a moment to seek the One and Only who can and will fill that void. Thank You Lord for filling our hearts with Your love and revealing just ‘who’ You are: Almighty God, Heavenly Savior, and Lord of All. We praise You Lord, In Your Almighty Name, Jesus, we thank You. Amen

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (ESV)
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”
