January 7, 2016 : Prayer

January 7, 2016                                                                                                                                                                                                     10:01pm

Have you ever peeked into your child’s bedroom to look at her/him sleeping?  For some reason, I find this setting completely adorable. 1. my daughter is zipped in her sleep sack (as seen on tv where a child just snuggles in and the bed is made). 2. She is wearing an eye-cover patch which is something I personally could never wear.  And 3. I love this age.  There are moments like this where I tip-toe in and take a snap shot for my memory to hold onto.  I know we are not guaranteed tomorrow, but having this time to give thanks is a blessing too.  Have you ever noticed, in those quiet moments, you can almost visibly see your child grow? It seems like yesterday she was drinking milk, only now I am filling her plate with much meat.  His Word says we begin our Christian walk drinking milk, and later require and desire ‘meat.’  My prayer for my daughter is as follows:

Dear Heavenly Father,                                                                                                                                                                                                   I thank you for my children.  And I pray for my daughter who is growing so fast.  For You Lord knitted her perfectly by Your hand.  And I pray she knows how beautiful she is each and every day.  May she continue to draw near to You Lord, as You draw near to us when we seek You.  And may Your Words of truth and life be etched in her soul as Your Word is perfect and every word is true.  My hope is that her relationship will be based on who You are and Your righteousness.  For we all fall short of Your Glory.  May her steps be ordered, and every friendship be orchestrated by Your hand.  May she walk boldly, knowing this world is broken, but that You Lord are perfect.  And most importantly, may she shine for You Lord in every way.  For by dust we were created, and therefore shall return.  For a lamp which shines does not place a cover on it?  May this day mark a time which holds dear to her heart, and may You Lord reveal yourself in a magnificent way.  Thank You, in your Name, Jesus, I pray.  Amen.  ♥️
